1. Purpose of This Policy

This policy explains how journalists, creators, media outlets, partners, and reviewers may use official materials from Cup Code and our games.

We want to make press coverage, reviews, and media publishing easier while protecting intellectual property rights and preventing misleading or unauthorized use.

This policy applies to materials related to ROAR, High School 53, and any future official projects, games, or campaigns.

2. What Are Press Materials?

Press Materials means any files or content we provide for editorial, press, or informational use, such as logos, screenshots, gameplay footage, key art, videos, trailers, press releases, or game descriptions.

These materials may be published in a Press Kit, Media Kit, game page, official social channel, or sent directly by the studio team.

Press Materials do not include source files, raw 3D models, code, internal projects, unpublished files, or any assets that have not been officially made available.

3. Allowed Use

You may use official Press Materials for press coverage, news, articles, reviews, interviews, analysis, videos, streams, or informational content about the studio and its games.

You may include logos, screenshots, and gameplay footage in articles, videos, or media posts as long as they are not distorted or used in a misleading way.

You may share Press Materials on websites and social platforms when the use is related to coverage, review, or official studio news.

4. Prohibited Use

You may not sell Press Materials, redistribute them as a standalone asset pack, or upload them as downloadable source assets outside editorial context.

You may not use Press Materials to create a commercial product, merchandise, NFT, another game, app, external advertisement, or third-party marketing campaign without written permission.

You may not use materials in a way that suggests you are an official partner, studio representative, or that the content is officially issued by us if it is not.

You may not alter materials in a way that damages the visual identity, misrepresents the game, or attributes false statements or information to us.

5. Logos and Brand Identity

You may use the Cup Code logo or game logos as part of press coverage, editorial pages, or videos discussing us.

Logos must remain clear and should not be distorted, recolored, cropped, or modified in a way that harms readability unless the official material allows it.

Do not use the logo as part of your own logo, brand, product, or website interface in a way that suggests ownership or official partnership.

6. Screenshots and Images

Official screenshots and key art may be used in articles, reviews, videos, and media posts.

You may not resell images or offer them as paid wallpaper packs or standalone assets.

You may crop or resize images for layout needs, provided you do not distort meaning, remove essential elements, or use them in a misleading context.

7. Videos and Trailers

You may embed official trailers or use short excerpts in news coverage, reviews, and analysis.

You may not re-upload the full official trailer unchanged for profit or present it as your own content without clear editorial context or transformation.

You may not edit videos in a way that attributes false statements to us or presents the game in a misleading or out-of-context manner.

8. Gameplay Footage and Reviews

Journalists, reviewers, and creators may publish gameplay footage, reviews, and impressions, subject to platform terms and any agreed embargo.

If you receive a review copy, demo, or closed test build, it may be subject to additional terms such as embargo dates or restrictions on specific content.

Violating an embargo or publishing closed-build content without permission may result in access removal or content takedown requests.

9. Quotes and Official Information

You may quote official descriptions, press releases, and information published in a Press Kit with clear source attribution.

You may not alter quotes in a way that changes meaning or attributes opinions, claims, or promises we did not make.

If you are unsure whether information is accurate, contact us before publishing.

10. Numbers, Dates, and Promises

Any release date, specs, features, or technical information may be subject to change while a game is in development.

Do not present estimates or future plans as final promises unless they have been officially published as final.

When covering a game in development, it is recommended to clarify that details may change before launch.

11. Leaks and Unreleased Materials

You may not use, publish, or reshare leaks, internal files, unreleased screenshots, or closed-test content without clear permission.

If you receive unreleased material from an unofficial source, do not use it in coverage.

We reserve the right to request removal of content based on leaks or materials obtained without authorization.

12. Embargoes

Some journalists or creators may receive content before official publication under an embargo.

You must fully respect the embargo date and time, including time zones and details specified in the message or agreement.

Publishing content before the embargo lifts may result in loss of future early access or additional action.

13. Thumbnails and Headlines

Official images or gameplay footage may be used in article thumbnails and video thumbnails.

Thumbnails and headlines must not be misleading or imply false information about the game or studio.

Do not use official images with false or deceptive titles that harm the studio or mislead the audience.

14. AI and Material Modification

You may not use our Press Materials to generate misleading AI content that appears official, leaked, or issued by the studio.

You may not use our logos or game images to generate fake statements or false screenshots presented as real.

If AI is used for editorial graphics or visual explanations, it must not mislead the audience about the origin or official status of the material.

15. Music and Audio

Trailers or gameplay may contain music or sound effects owned by us or licensed from third parties.

Permission to use video or gameplay footage in coverage does not allow extracting music or sound effects as standalone files.

Some audio materials may be subject to automated rights systems on platforms, and we are not responsible for platform decisions.

16. Attribution

When using Press Materials, source attribution is recommended, such as: “Source: Cup Code”.

If the material comes from an official Press Kit, you may mention that in the article footer or video description.

Do not place your own watermark on our materials in a way that suggests you are the original owner.

17. Commercial and Advertising Use

You may not use Press Materials in paid ads, commercial campaigns, products, sponsorships, or sales presentations for a third party without permission.

Editorial or press use is different from commercial use. If the use promotes your product, service, or brand, request permission first.

Large-scale use of logos, marks, or images in a commercial campaign requires written approval.

18. Partner and Sponsor Materials

If material contains the logo or name of a partner, platform, or third party, it may also be subject to that party’s rules.

We do not grant you rights to use third-party logos or marks except within the visible limits and editorial context of the official material.

You are responsible for ensuring your use does not violate third-party rights.

19. Requesting Additional Materials

If you need higher-resolution images, logos, official descriptions, interviews, quotes, or additional material for coverage, you may contact us.

Please include your outlet name, type of coverage, expected publication date, and platform.

We cannot guarantee every request, but we will try to support serious and organized coverage.

20. When We May Request Changes or Removal

We may request modification or removal if content uses our materials in a misleading way, violates this policy, publishes leaks, infringes our rights or third-party rights, or suggests a non-existent official relationship.

We may contact you directly where possible or use platform reporting tools when necessary.

The goal is to protect accuracy, rights, and identity, not to prevent respectful media coverage.

21. Relationship with Other Policies

This policy works with our Terms of Use, Content Policy, Fan Content Policy, Privacy Policy, EULA, Intellectual Property Policy, and Asset Usage Policy.

If your use is closer to fan content, review the Fan Content Policy. If your use relates to assets and files, review the Asset Usage Policy.

If material is published on an external platform, that platform’s terms also apply.

22. Updates

We may update this policy from time to time based on studio needs, legal requirements, or platform changes.

The last updated date will be changed when important updates are made.

Continued use of materials after updates means you accept the latest version.
