End User License Agreement

End User License Agreement for Cup Code games and services, including ROAR.

Last updated: May 20, 2026

Important Notice

This Agreement is a general legal template designed for Cup Code games and website. It should be reviewed by a lawyer before official use on Steam or any commercial platform.

1. Introduction and Acceptance

This End User License Agreement ("Agreement" or "EULA") is a legal agreement between you and Cup Code regarding your use of ROAR, and any games, software, updates, patches, downloadable content, digital content, or related services we provide now or in the future.

By installing, downloading, launching, accessing, or using any part of the game, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Agreement.

If you do not agree to this Agreement, do not install, launch, access, or use the game, and delete any copies in accordance with the rules of the platform from which you obtained it.

2. Definitions

"Game" means ROAR and any executable files, content, updates, patches, documentation, or digital materials related to it.

"Studio", "we", "us", or "our" means Cup Code, the owner, publisher, or developer of the game as applicable.

"User" or "you" means the person who purchases, downloads, installs, launches, accesses, or uses the game.

"Platform" means any digital store or distribution service through which the game is made available, such as Steam or any future platform.

"Content" means text, images, designs, characters, models, sounds, music, code, trademarks, logos, interfaces, story, worldbuilding, systems, and other assets inside the game or website.

3. License Granted to You

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to use the game for personal entertainment purposes only.

This license does not sell or transfer ownership of the game to you. You receive only a limited right to use the game under this Agreement and the terms of the platform from which you obtained it.

You may install and run the game on devices you own or lawfully control, provided that you comply with this Agreement and applicable platform terms.

4. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in and to the game and its content are owned by or licensed to Cup Code, including but not limited to the name, logo, story, characters, worlds, sounds, music, code, systems, designs, marketing materials, and visual identity.

This Agreement does not grant you ownership of the game or its content. All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved by us.

You may not use the game name, logo, assets, or brand identity in a way that suggests you represent the studio or are officially affiliated with us without prior written permission.

5. Restrictions and Prohibited Uses

You may not copy, distribute, sell, rent, sublicense, or make the game available to others through unauthorized means.

You may not modify, decompile, disassemble, reverse engineer, attempt to extract source code, bypass protection systems, or circumvent technical restrictions.

You may not use the game to create malware, cheating tools, hacking tools, disruption tools, or any use that harms the studio, players, or platforms.

You may not remove or alter any copyright, trademark, ownership, or legal notices contained in the game, files, or materials.

You may not use the game or its content in racist, abusive, extremist, pornographic, defamatory, unlawful, or reputationally harmful contexts.

6. Cheats, Tampering, and Reverse Engineering

You may not use programs, tools, scripts, or modifications that provide an unfair advantage, alter game behavior, or bypass its systems.

You may not analyze game files to extract assets, build clones, or create unauthorized tools.

If prohibited behavior is detected, we may restrict access, ban accounts, deny support, or take legal action where appropriate.

7. Updates and Changes

We may release updates, patches, modifications, additions, or changes to the game at any time.

Updates may affect performance, balance, content, technical requirements, or features.

Some updates may be required to continue using the game or certain features.

We do not guarantee that any feature, content, or gameplay system will remain unchanged forever, especially during development, testing, or pre-release periods.

8. Demo, Beta, and Testing Versions

If we provide a demo, beta, closed test, or open test, that version may be incomplete and may contain bugs, performance issues, or content subject to change.

Test versions do not represent the final product and may differ from the final game in story, systems, visuals, performance, or content.

We may suspend or end access to any test version at any time without prior notice.

9. Saves, Files, and Settings

The game may store local files on your device, including settings, save files, performance logs, or temporary files required for operation.

We are not responsible for lost save files or settings caused by deletion, device failure, system issues, manual file modification, or other external causes.

You should not manually modify save files or configuration files unless officially instructed to do so by support.

10. Data and Privacy

We may collect limited data related to your use of the website, game, or related services, such as technical data, crash reports, performance, language, platform, or preferences, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

This Agreement is not a substitute for our Privacy Policy. Please read the Privacy Policy to understand how data is collected, used, and protected.

If the game is distributed through a third-party platform such as Steam, that platform may collect its own data under its own terms and policies.

11. Third-Party Platform Accounts

You may need an account on a third-party platform such as Steam to access the game or certain features.

We do not control your Steam account or any third-party platform account and are not responsible for bans, restrictions, outages, or policy changes made by those platforms.

Your use of any third-party platform is subject to that platform’s own terms, agreements, and policies.

12. Purchases, Refunds, and Pricing

Any purchase made through a third-party platform such as Steam is subject to that platform’s purchase and refund policies.

We do not guarantee approval of any refund request and do not control third-party decisions regarding payments, taxes, currencies, pricing, or regional availability.

Prices, offers, and availability may vary by country, platform, or time.

13. Age Rating and Content Warnings

The game may contain psychological horror, tension, frightening scenes, sudden sounds, violence, blood, body horror, dark scientific themes, or content unsuitable for children.

The game is intended for the appropriate age group according to the platform or rating authority. You must comply with the age rating displayed on the game store page.

If you are sensitive to horror, tension, flashing visuals, or loud sounds, use caution and take regular breaks.

14. Health Warning

Some players may experience eye strain, dizziness, headaches, nausea, or, in rare cases, seizures triggered by flashing lights or visual patterns.

Stop playing immediately if you experience unusual symptoms and seek medical advice if necessary.

Play in a properly lit environment, take breaks, and avoid long play sessions without rest.

15. User-Generated Content

If the game, website, or community features allow comments, reviews, images, videos, or user submissions, you are responsible for the content you post.

You may not post unlawful, abusive, racist, threatening, defamatory, pornographic, spam, malicious, or rights-infringing content.

We reserve the right to remove, hide, modify, or report prohibited content and restrict or ban users who violate these rules.

16. Streaming, Videos, and Content Creation

We generally allow players and creators to stream, record, review, and create educational or entertainment content featuring the game, provided it is not misleading, abusive, unlawful, or harmful.

You may monetize videos or streams that show original gameplay, unless we announce different rules for specific content such as licensed music, confidential footage, or closed testing builds.

You may not sell, extract, redistribute, or package game assets as standalone materials or use them in other projects without written permission.

17. Mods and Modifications

You may not create or distribute mods for the game unless we officially announce mod support.

If mods are allowed in the future, they will be subject to additional terms and may not include unlawful content, stolen assets, cheating tools, or intellectual property violations.

We reserve the right to disable or prohibit any modification that harms the game, players, or the studio’s reputation.

18. Technical Support

We may provide technical support through the website, email, or official platforms.

We do not guarantee that every issue can be resolved, especially if caused by unsupported hardware, outdated drivers, unauthorized modifications, corrupted files, or use outside recommended requirements.

We may request technical information such as device specifications, operating system version, or crash logs to help diagnose issues.

19. System Requirements

The game may require certain specifications to run properly. Failure to meet requirements may result in poor performance, crashes, or inability to run the game.

System requirements may change before or after launch due to updates, optimizations, or technical changes.

You are responsible for verifying that your device meets the published requirements before purchase or download.

20. Online Services

Some game or website features may rely on online services such as Steam, servers, APIs, newsletters, or account systems.

Some services may be interrupted or discontinued temporarily or permanently due to maintenance, outages, platform decisions, or circumstances beyond our control.

We do not guarantee that online services will always be available or uninterrupted.

21. Termination

This Agreement remains in effect until terminated by you or by us.

You may terminate this Agreement by deleting the game and ceasing all use.

We may terminate or restrict your license if you violate this Agreement or use the game unlawfully, harmfully, or without authorization.

Upon termination, you must stop using the game and delete any unauthorized copies in your possession.

22. Disclaimer of Warranties

The game is provided "as is" and "as available" without express or implied warranties to the maximum extent permitted by law.

We do not guarantee that the game will be error-free, uninterrupted, performance-perfect, meet your expectations, or run on every device or configuration.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so exclusions apply only to the maximum extent permitted by law.

23. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, loss of profits, loss of data, or business interruption arising from the use or inability to use the game.

If liability is established in any case, our maximum liability is limited to the amount you actually paid for the game, or the minimum amount permitted by law if you paid nothing.

24. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Cup Code, its team, partners, and suppliers from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, or expenses arising from your breach of this Agreement, unlawful use of the game, or violation of third-party rights.

25. Force Majeure

We are not responsible for delay or failure to perform caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including major technical failures, disasters, war, government actions, internet outages, platform issues, or similar events.

26. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This Agreement is governed by and interpreted under the applicable laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, unless mandatory laws in your country require otherwise.

If a dispute arises, we will first attempt to resolve it amicably through contact with us. If it cannot be resolved amicably, disputes may be handled by the competent authorities under applicable law.

27. Conflict with Platform Terms

If you obtained the game through Steam or any third-party platform, your use is also subject to that platform’s terms.

If there is a conflict between this Agreement and platform terms regarding the platform’s own services, the platform terms control only within that specific scope.

This Agreement does not grant you any rights that conflict with Steam or other distribution platform agreements.

28. Changes to this Agreement

We may update this Agreement from time to time to reflect legal, technical, operational, game, or service changes.

When we update the Agreement, we will update the last updated date. Continued use of the game after publication means you accept the updated Agreement.

29. Survival

Sections concerning intellectual property, restrictions, warranty disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, governing law, and any provisions that by nature should survive will remain in effect after termination.
