About Cup Code

We do not just make games. We build worlds.

Cup Code is a Saudi game development studio based in Madinah, focused on cinematic, immersive games built around horror, narrative, intelligent systems, and strong visual identity.

Our first game is ROAR: a first-person survival horror experience set inside a Kenyan conservancy hiding a classified experiment on lion behavior.

Mission

Building Saudi games that can compete globally

Our mission is to build games that do not rely on branding alone, but on real gameplay, believable worlds, strong audio, and a clear identity. Every room, sound, and decision should matter.

We start with a bold idea, turn it into gameplay systems, then build a world around it. Quality is not a marketing line for us; it is the workflow from the first design document to the last performance pass.

We want our games to carry Saudi discipline and ambition while speaking to global players through tension, curiosity, danger, and survival.

Vision

An independent studio with standards bigger than its size

We see Cup Code as a Saudi studio choosing a difficult path: original games, new worlds, and high quality standards. We do not want to clone the market; we want to build titles with a distinct identity.

ROAR is the beginning. It is not just a game about lions. It is a test of our vision: can we build horror around intelligence, patience, environment, and real player vulnerability?

Our long-term vision is to build a library of original games that carry the studio name with credibility, supported by a community that knows Cup Code does not sell empty promises.

Development Philosophy

The rules we do not break

01

Gameplay First

A concept is not enough unless it becomes a playable, readable, and rewarding experience. Story matters, but gameplay makes players stay.

02

Horror from Systems, Not Noise

We prefer intelligent tension, silence, behavioral threats, and environments that scare because they make sense, not because they are loud.

03

Grounded Identity

We respect setting, culture, and place. Identity appears through details and choices, not surface-level slogans.

04

Transparency with Players

We do not sell illusions. We communicate what is in development, what is confirmed, and what needs time. Player trust matters more than hype.

Workflow

From idea to playable experience

  1. Identity Design

Define the core idea, primary threat, world identity, and horror tone before production.

  2. Prototype

Test core systems such as pursuit, stealth, stamina, camera, and player readability.

  3. Vertical Slice

Build a short section near final quality to prove the experience.

  4. Production

Expand the world, improve AI, build levels, audio, performance, and testing.

Technology

Tools serving the experience

  • Unreal Engine 5
  • Lumen / Nanite
  • Blueprints + C++ when needed
  • 3D spatial audio design
  • Steam / PC
  • Arabic and English support

Who We Are

A small team with a clear direction

Cup Code does not try to look larger than it is. We build step by step, and we know credibility comes from execution, not slogans.

We work with an independent studio mindset: faster decisions, stronger focus, and higher creative risk. At the same time, we hold strict quality standards for visuals, audio, performance, and user experience.
